The lights go out for the
last time.
Phantom fireworks shoot
across the sky,
red,
gold,
blue.
Phantom people splash
in the pool,
run wild on
the beach.
Leaves rattle across the ground,
disturbing the ghost
parties ravaging the
cold palace.
A green light blinks
in the distance.
Like a beacon it
calls to a phantom
man. He
reaches, stretching
his arms across the lake.
In the blink of an eye
it's all
gone.
The parties,
the fireworks,
the man.
The dock light blinks,
remembering the dream
that was.
Statement of Purpose:
In this poem I added a few words, took out some, and did general fixes with punctuation to help the flow.
