Mother told me that back in England there were fairies. They lived in flowers and gardens. They would come to you if you were good and take you the forest where you would dance the night away. What she doesn't know is that there are fairies here to.
Sometimes they come to me in the night and say, "Little girl, sweet elf, thou can come with us to the forest. You have no need to fear- you are one of us. You are a fairy child, an elf. Thy mother has long suspected that thou are special. The town thinks you odd. But we know the truth. Come with us into the forest. Come dance the night away."
I go with them. They lead me down the path into the forest, all the while singing strange songs in languages I don't understand. Eventually we come to a glade. There are hundreds of fairies there! All of them singing strange songs and dancing in the air. One of the fairies will come to me and sprinkle me with glittering dust. I find that I can fly! I join them in the air, dancing and singing any songs I know.
When the east lightens and starts to turn orange the magic wears off and I sink to the ground. The fairies leave and I find my way home. No animals bother me. I sneak back into the house before Mother notices and go to sleep.
